It's all about that Organic cotton.
We're proud to be using Spiritex Fabric which is composed of 100% Organic Domestic Cotton and Recycled Fibers. Everything, from the seed to the shirt, from the farm to the fabric is done right here in the good ol' US of A and we personally wouldn't have it any other way.
We start with the fiber sourced from the Texas Organic Growers Co-op, a collective of organic farmers that have been farming pesticide free since the early 90's. The ginned cotton is shipped by the bale to spinning mills that maintained a presence in North & South Carolina where it goes through the spinning process to yield finished yarn. Once the yarn is ready, it goes to the knitters dispersed throughout the Carolinas where it's knit into one of the signature Spiritex styles yielding what's called greige goods (fabric that has yet to be finished). The greige goods are then sent to various finishers also located in the existing mill infrastructure of the Carolinas to be converted into finished fabric. The finishing process utilizes low impact fiber reactive dyes in a closed loop system for colors and a natural citrus scour or peroxide wash for natural and white.
